Light Rail From the MSP Airport:
The Light Rail Blue Line will take you from MSP to the Downtown East Station (~20 minutes) from there you can take the Green Line to the East Bank campus or a number of different bus lines. This option is highly recommended with the lowest fare.
Trip planner on the Metro Transit website will help, be sure to select "University of Minnesota - East Bank" as your destination.
Driving Directions and Parking:
- Parking is limited at the Graduate Hotel and costs guests $20 a day. We recommend you park on campus at the Washington Avenue Ramp , Church Street Garage or 4th Street Ramp. Costs for these parking facilities are $13.00 per day.

Booking Travel
When making travel plans, please keep in mind that The University of Minnesota is in the Central Time Zone.
After notification of your acceptance to the conference, you should immediately plan your travel options. We encourage coordination among students from the same institution to minimize travel costs. Please note that it is expected that students obtain travel support from their home institutions. However, if they are not able to cover these expenses, travel funding is available upon request to cuwip2020@umn.edu for a limited number of students with significant financial need.
If you are receiving travel support, it is imperative that you work with us to make your arrangements to ensure a full reimbursement. Your travel costs must conform to The University of Minnesota travel policies for full reimbursement; there are no exceptions. All flights to be reimbursed by the APS CUWiP at MN need to be preapproved before purchase. Please contact us with any questions.

- Blue line (Northbound) to U.S. Bank Stadium station
- Cross the tracks (opposite side of station)
- Catch a Green line going east (East Bank)
- Get off at East Bank station (central location)

Public / Visitor Parking
Parking for The Graduate is available on a first come, first serve basis, in the lot located behind the hotel. A daily parking fee, currently at $20 plus tax per day, per vehicle, applies. Other UMN Parking locations and rates can be found at this link.
